Love this place! Cheap, fast, and in the heart of CWE. Family owned joint with some of the friendliest staff around. I love how easy it is to customize everything (adding vegetables, switching the meat, etc.) Would highly recommend the following: pad kee mao, any of the curries, veggie pancake and sweet potato fries from the appetizers menu. If you're not a fan of uber sweet bubble tea, I'd skip the ones here. Also, for some unfathomable reason, the pad thai is their weakest dish.

Recently found this little restaurant while wandering through the CWE with my beau. I had never actually tried any Thai food before coming here, so my opinion may not be the most fully informed, but I definitely enjoyed it! Their outdoor seating was a nice feature, and we really enjoyed how they have faux dishes of their food in the window, so you can really preview what you'll be ordering. I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and it did not disappoint. It was loaded with little bean pods, pineapple, cashews, and other goodies. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a big fan of the spicy-sweet combo, and if you're the same way, this is the dish for you! Be sure to sprinkle on a dash of chili powder or oil to kick things up a notch, if you're feeling adventurous. My boyfriend got the Pad-see-u (sp?) with chicken and we both loved it. The flavors were complex and rich, the rice noodles were perfectly done and coated, and the chicken was super tasty. We liked it a lot, and will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

I've had a lot of good food here. I would have to say the only reason this place lost a star is because you have to clean your own table and take care of yourself after you order. It's not fun and not something you expect of a location in CWE. One of my favorite foods is pad ginger and potstickers. Both are really good and have nice flavor. I'm not one for spice so I tend to go to the milder end of the scale. My one friend loves spicy and always asks for spice to be added. They are very much so willing to add more spice to their food upon request and give you a scale of 1-5 as to how spicy you would like the food. Finally, the portions are huge if you eat in. I don't always think that's fair because a lot of times I get to go and the proportion is smaller. But hey, you can choose. I think the proportion is still pretty large for take out as well.

I ordered the crispy egg rolls and the Hot and Sour Noodle Soup with chicken and shrimp to go last night. They packed the crispy egg rolls in your typical Styrofoam container but cut a hole in the container so the hot egg rolls didn't steam in the container on the way home and get over cooked. This was a very nice touch! They were still crispy! The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious! The broth had just the right amount of spice. This would be an excellent winter meal when all you want to do is go home and eat soup. I would say I enjoyed it more than a Vietnamese Pho. The place was busy and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Just thinking about this place makes me hungry. I've had better service eating in than take out. Such a good find, though! Always a good option when you don't feel like cooking.

It was OK and just that. I ordered Pad See Ew and it was nothing memorable but not bad either. I'm still in search for my go-to Thai restaurant.

I'm basing this review on their Thai tea with boba, since I didn't end up eating dinner there. I'm definitely open to going back to try their food, though, so hopefully this rating will change. However, as it stands, the boba tea did not impress me at all. The consistency of the boba was too chewy and flour-y. The Thai tea lacked the actual tea flavor and was overpowered by sugar (and that's a big statement, coming from me because I loooove all things sweet). However, the cashier was friendly and I love Thai food, so I'm willing to give their food a try... I just won't order any boba drinks next time.

This is my first experience with this place and my first experience with Thai food in general and it will definitely not be the last for both! I got the sesame chicken with steamed rice and it was unbelievable. It's a little pricey, a drink and my meal totaling around 13 dollars. Overall it was delicious and I cannot wait to go back.

Delicious! I have had a lot of Thai food over the tears and this may be the best! Husband got the pad see ewe and it was awesome! I will definitely get it next time myself! Pad thai was very hood! Prices are spot on. Plenty of food!!

Came here for a quick dinner at CWE when my sister-in-law was visiting. Wasn't expecting anything spectacular, and well it really was just that, nothing spectacular. I ordered the pineapple fried rice, and I actually just realized that there wasn't any pineapples in it. I think they accidentally gave me the thai fried rice, because there weren't any cashews, pineapples, or raisins. The fried rice wasn't anything spectacular, I wish they had some oyster sauce to add a little more flavor to the rice. Seating is limited indoors and out. When we were there, it looked like a lot of customers ordered takeout. I would probably recommend the takeout route unless you are planning to walk around CWE. I see this place as a fast food Thai place. I wouldn't come here if you are looking for very authentic Thai food, but if you have a craving and are limited on time. This may satisfy your craving.

Swung by here for a quick take out dinner. They do have a few tables inside if you want to eat there -- but you order at a counter and they bring it out to your table so don't expect full-service. The pot stickers were tasty and still surprisingly hot by the time I got back to my apartment. For my entree, I tried the pad lomein (egg noodles, bamboo shoots, egg, onion, carrot, pea pods and baby corns). It was a good portion of food for $8, and was pretty good as well. Service was quick and friendly. Pros: convenient, friendly service Cons: decent food, not incredible

Had the great meal was a good atmosphere and very quick. Just sat down and the meal was at my table. I would eat here again.

I visited Thai 202 on a Saturday afternoon after getting out of a movie at the Chase Park Plaza. Thai 202 is a small restaurant in the Central West End. You order your food at the counter and it's delivered to your table in about 15 minutes. The interior of the restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff is also friendly. There are also displays of their most popular dishes that sit on the ledge of the front window. I was at this restaurant for a little of an hour and was amazed at the amount of people walking by on the sidewalk, that stopped to gawk at Thai 202's food displays. So I guess its good advertisement if it catches that much attention! I ordered the Sesame Chicken...yes I realize this is not a Thai dish. But I love Sesame Chicken so I couldn't help myself. Thai 202's version of the dish was pretty delicious but the sauce was a bit on the salty side. A friend ordered a Thai iced tea. I've never heard of such a thing, but she let me try her drink and it was pretty good! It's pretty much like an extra sweet iced tea except with milk mixed in. The drink is orange in color because of the tea leaves they use. If I'm in CWE again and hungry for Thai/Chinese food, this will probably be my go-to stop. I'd recommend it and gladly visit again.

Small place, sign says it seats 22. I had the Pad Thai and the BF had some spicy noodle soup that he thought rocked. Staff was pleasant. You order at the counter and they brought us our food. Serve yourself a fountain soda (Pepsi products) and bus your own table when you are finished. Not the best but good.. I'm sure we will go back.

  • Nick L.

Loved their pad see u (no idea if I'm spelling that right). I got it with chicken, and asked for it extra spicy, and they delivered. It was delicious! My girlfriend got the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and loved hers too. We'll be back, and highly recommend you try it too!

  • Julia L.

The pad Thai is good and the curry is great. I get the yellow curry with tofu and it hits the spot! Try the fried sweet potato as an appetizer. I've also had the papaya salad, which is very yummy and healthier. They don't use fish paste in it (which I think is more of a Laotian thing to do then a Thai thing to do), which makes it a million times better. The price is right and the wait is usually short. The boba drinks are about 90% sugar and the boba themselves a little off, but this isn't a boba place so I can't complain.

    (4)
  • Gabbie R.

Pretty good convenient thai food! They are quick as well. The price also is a plus! If you are expecting a sit down experience this is not the restaurant to go to. The food is more quick service in my opinion. The Pad Keemao hits my comfort food spot.

  • Ben S.

Fair to middling experience. Nothing there really snapped but it was ok and reasonably priced. I had the pad thai with pork. Apparently, this is my new favorite Thai dish and I owe it to the guys at Thai Rama down in BFE, MO. This place overcooked the pork in the dish. I suppose that is better than under-cooking it but still - I rarely make pork at home because I can never get it quite right (unless I use the smoker) so I rely on restaurants to get it right for me. Not this time. The noodles were good and I liked that the lime wedge was perfectly ripe. I disliked that the peanuts were barely ground from halves and that the spicy red pepper concoction (the dry one) in the little jar wasn't very well ground up either. All in all, there are enough other restaurants to try in the area that I doubt I will give them a second chance.

I live just a short walk away so i frequently visit Thai 202. Currently my favorite is the Pad Garlic Pepper with chicken, but I've never had something that I didn't enjoy. They also have some of the best crab rangoon that I've ever had! Highly recommended!

  • Zara P.

I absolutely love Thai 202. Their customer service is great, and their food is delicious - my favorite is he green curry with chicken, but I've enjoyed everything I've tried, and the price is definitely right. Would recommend to anyone who likes Thai food!

If you like Thai food, check out Thai 202. The restaurant is cozy and perfect for get-togethers with friends or for date night, and there's outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, too. I was impressed with the portion sizes and even had to have my husband help me finish all of the food.

Stopped in for the first time today at lunch and ordered chicken Pad Thai. My review is based on one visit, one dish. The place is cute - very small, maybe 8 tables or so. You order at the counter. The pad thai tasted OK but the chicken seemed like it had been reheated, maybe even frozen and reheated. It was tough and dry. Not much reason to make me want to return.

Have been here a few times to eat their Tom Kha soup. Delicious and inexpensive. I have seen other dishes here but keep ordering the same thing. The family who runs this small eatery are very nice and accommodating. It appears to be more of a take-out place but there are a few tables. I think it's one of my favorite places to eat Thai in St. Louis.

My husband and I finally decided to try out Thai 202 after passing by it frequently and seeing the yummy-looking dishes in the window that caught my eye. We went tonight on a Friday night and were relieved that there wasn't a long wait for the food or for a table. I ordered beef pad thai and my husband got the red curry rice dish. I like that Thai 202 is a cafe-style restaurant and after ordering at the front counter, we got our own cups for water, our own utensils, napkins, etc before sitting down. It's a great place to people-watch and our food arrived within 10 minutes in fancy boat plates. My pad thai was delicious and tangy, although the sauce was a little too "sweet and sour" for me; I'm used to a more authentic taste. The beef, though, was really tough and chewy...I was sad that I was unable to find a single piece of beef that was tender. Still, I enjoyed the noodles a lot. My husband's red curry was spicy with lots of fresh red peppers, green beans, and chicken. My tongue was still burning 5 minutes later after drinking a whole glass of water and eating my pad thai in an effort to diffuse the spiciness on my tastebuds. If you like spice, you will love the red curry. It went well with the white rice that came with it and we had enough sauce left over to bring home afterwards (we plan to eat it with more rice tomorrow!). Fast, friendly service and a good place to get my Thai food cravings satisfied! Next time I probably won't order a dish with beef in it though...

I cannot believe someone would complain about having to clean her own table. The trash can is five feet from any one table at the restaurant. Its fast-casual dining.....as are many places where you can get a great meal for under $10....even in the CWE. Also, the people who work there clearly work their tails off. You can tell that the staff is dedicated to doing what they do well. And the food is amazing. The sesame chicken is fantastic. And if they had to commpromise the quality of the amzing food in order to send someone out to throw your cup away, then I think it is best that things stay exactly the way they are. Great staff, impeccably clean restaurant, attractive and always delicious. A sure thing in my book.

The food was really flavorful and very quick to arrive. It's not a big place but may came in for take out. Large menu with a variety of dishes. I had the ginger pad which I really liked! Will be back again to try more :)

  • Julian G.

Great Thai place. Cheap and everything you get will be authentic and tasty enough. I've had pad thai, pad see-u (favorite with the pad Thai so far), pad kee Mao, cucumber salad, pad prik, potstickers and spring rolls. Everything is great.

    (4)
  • Nick M.

pretty good thai food. I got chicken satay and the pad Thai. they were really good and pretty cheap. it has a fast food-y kind of feel for Thai cuisine which is nice if you're in a rush and just want some Thai.

  • Wella A.

I did appreciate the quick service, and my early dinner left me full, but unsatisfied. The pad beef, which is a stir-fry with broccoli, carrots and onions came with a bland, brown gravy-like sauce. I was skeptical about the veggies; they may have been frozen as I didn't detect any taste from them and they didn't have the fresh crisp I am accustomed to in stir-fry cooking. I craved for a crab rangoon and theirs was crisp, but I wondered about the sweet sauce that had an artificial orange taste to it.

  • Katie T.

Food at Thai 202 is mostly fine, but very rarely anything special. Phad Thai is overly sweet and lacks texture. Phad Kee Mao is gloopy and lacks "wok hay," that lovely smoky flavor imparted from a hot wok. The curries are slightly better, but as often happens the vegetables are lame. Also, on a particularly annoying note for someone looking to order takeout, Thai 202 regularly closes well before it's published closing time, or simply refuses to pick up the phone. Don't expect open doors past 8:15 despite a 9:00 closing time.

Truly impressed for a speedy & no frill cafe in CWE St. Louis (walking distance from the Comfort Inn & The Chase). Excellent, affordable, & generous portions plus order counter/cashier was very pleasant & helpful. Recommend this Thai Cafe very much!!! Try it I believe you will find it to be a hidden treasure you will want to visit again

Pretty good thai food. Plus they're really fast and convenient. Haven't been dissapointed with anything I've tried there

Fresh, tasty stuff. I'm a big fan of the pad basil, the kids love their orange chicken. Portions seem bigger when you dine in, takeout portions are a bit skimpy. All in all, this is our neighborhood "go-to" for Thai and will be for a long time I think.

Better than other Thai places around here. Veggies taste fresh. Quick carry out. Green curry was tasty.

Good food, I have had better food at other places. Americanized Thai cuisines. Not flavorful, but spicy food. Owner can be a little more friendly.

What is not to love about pineapple fried rice!!! They have a little twist by adding raisins but I love it! The curry noodle soup is also delicious. They also have speedy service. Although the place is tiny, and there is limited seating both inside and outside, I really like this place!

BEST Thai food in St. Louis! Portions are good size, fast and friendly service, and good price! The Shrimp Pad Lo Mein is amazing!

I don't see how anyone can not like this place. Everyone is super friendly and caring, and they don't fuss over a little customization. I love their food and would go here more often. The only reason I can't give them a five is because their parking situation is horrible.

  • Sean F.

Been there twice this week, love a thai place that you can walk to, casual, quick. Had the pad kee mao, which has homemade noodles (excellent) and tried the pad thai. Not my favorite pad thai but the people were nice and the price was right ($7-$9 per entree).

  • Nathan B.

I've eaten here 1-2 times a week for about a year now. Excellent food that is fairly priced. The staff is courteous and welcoming. My favorites are the Pad Ped and Pad Cashew. If you'd like your meal prepared sans gluten, they've got a bottle of GF soy sauce they can use in the prep of any dish.

    (5)
  • Paul Z.

I don't know how this place has gotten anything less than 5 stars! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk into the door. Every dish I've tried has always met, or exceeded, my expectations (and I'm a snob when it comes to my Thai food). The chicken pad Thai, pad basil**, and red curry are all fantastic. Not to mention, you can see the chefs as they prepare your meal and all of their ingredients are fresh! I will continue to be a consistent guest of theirs. So happy to have this place within walking distance from my home!

  • Katherine B.

Once again, amazing! I've been on a recent sauce binge, and so I've been ordering alot of Thai and Indian stuff. I really have to say the Paanang curry hit the spot. It was the perfect blend of spice and spicy, if that makes sense. No delivery yet, I'm starting to think that's not going to happen, but either way, I'll be back.

  • Lisa J.

Although the soups were great here, the place is really small and breezy with the door near the tables. So whats lacking in atmosphere is certainly made up for with the tomkah soup

Amazing food! This is coming from someone who has visited Thailand multiple times and has had authentic Thai food. You will be hard pressed to beat this place, best I have had in the Saint Louis area as of yet. Their kitchen is open so you can see everything that is going on, and is very sanitary. The dining area is kinda small but there is some outside seating also. They do have carry out but not delivery. Their kitchen staff is awesome and they were all Thai born and raised in Thailand, you can't ask for more authentic cooking than that. I have grown to love this place and am usually there every Friday night! You will NOT be disappointed with anything you order!

I have a very HIGH standard in Thai Food because I absolutely love Thai food. This place is in the central west end and I was so excited to try it. I tried the Satay Chicken with the peanut sauce and the chicken was very dry. I tried the pad thai and the noodles were pretty much favorless. It tasted pretty bland. I did not know why I ordered their orange chicken since they are not a chinese restaurant but i did. I do NOT recommend that to ANYONE. oh my god, my tastebuds.

Delicious Thai place that offers a range of vegetarian-friendly options. I can't speak to the authenticity, but the food is prepared fresh from good-quality ingredients at a great price point of ~$10/entree.

UPDATE: the pad kee mao noodles taste good again. I think they were just having a bad day that one time I got them. Also, their pineapple fried rice is delishhh. Nom nom nom.

I'm beginning to think the problem might be me, because I've liked about 20% of the Asian restaurants I've tried in St. Louis. So, if you're unimpressed by blatant CA snobbery, skip my review. Spring rolls: best part of the meal, but still pretty standard fare. It's a fried spring roll, so don't expect any miracles. Roti: Fried dough can't really be screwed up too badly, but in my opinion it was a bit flaky and the peanut sauce wasn't great. I'd eat it again though. Tom Yum: Hot sauce in a bowl with some undercooked mushrooms and questionable shrimp. It lacked the complexity of flavor that I love about traditional Tom Yum soup. However, the portion was generous, so if I would have liked the soup more I'd have been stoked. Pad See Ew: Flavorless. Seriously. The broccoli was good though. Service: Nice enough. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but I prefer being squeezed onto the sidewalk than sitting in their ambience-free space. I was seriously bummed after trying this place because it was supposed to be my little thai place down the street but nooooo it's just not really my taste at all. I didn't try their curries so I'd probably get that if I ever found myself back here for whatever reason, just because their noodles and soups were pretty blah.

I love thai food and I love thai restaurants that I can walk to! This little gem opened up late last year and offers affordable, tasty thai dishes. My favorite dishes is the Pad see ew with chicken and the spicy fried rice. I've had many of the dishes on the menu but those seem to really stand out. My only complaint is that, at times, the chicken can be a bit dry but other than that I've been very happy each time I've been!

I came here with a friend on a whim. I was surprised, this place is better than most places around the CWE area. The portions are quite large, the prices are decent. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and it was about nine dollars. Atm: It's a small establishment, I noticed their max capacity sign even said 22 people! Wow, that's not many. You bus your own tables, so don't make a mess! Food: My friend ended up getting the teriyaki chicken. Her portion seemed pretty big. They give a good amount of broccoli and chicken, they didn't seem to skimp on it. Compared to other Asian restaurants where they give you a couple pieces of broccoli. But what I did notice was they had a LOT of sauce on it, I'm not a fan if my rice is already soaking with sauce. I'm not sure how good it tasted because I didn't feel the need to steal off of her plate. A common occurrence when I get dish envy, but this time I had my own dish to attend to. I ended up getting the Pad Kee Mao, I've never had it before and I don't know if it's authentic Thai. Though I do get the feeling this place is slightly Americanized. With my Pad Kee Mao I got beef, they seemed to provide a good amount of meat and vegetables and it had the right amount of spicy kick to warm my tummy on this chilly day. Overall I liked it, it wasn't too spicy and it was just the right amount of flavor to bring out the peppers in it. The noodles were the broad flat noodle type. Their portions here are kind of big, but no complaints, I like big portions and good food. Would I ever come here again? Definitely. Next time I'm going to try their Tom Yum Soup, Panang Curry, or Pad Thai, since I'm more familiar with those dishes, and I've tasted variations of it from other restaurants. Though what did catch my eye was hot and sour soup with noodles, hm interesting. I love me some SPICY! Until next time folks.

Thai 202? More like Thai 101. At least for their Pad Thai, they're definitely still in the lower levels. Perhaps that's a bit harsh, but when I heard about a Thai place opening in the Central West End, I was pretty excited. Usually, a Thai place's Pad Thai is a good starting point to see how legit they are. My chicken Pad Thai wasn't bad by any means, but it definitely lacked the flavor that I was looking for, tasting a bit bland. Adding some peppers and hot sauce did help a bit, but I was hoping for a lot more. Perhaps I had hyped up the taste in my mind too much before trying it? My fiance ordered the beef Pad See-Yew, and it was pretty good, but a bit too soy-saucy. I will probably go back and try some of the other items like the different curries that they have because I rarely give out less than 4 stars. If you're in the mood for Thai, and you're in the Central West End, Thai 202 is probably your best option. But don't go in expecting too much, or you may be disappointed.

A couple of years ago I discovered Pad Kee Mao at a Thai restaurant in Olivette that is now closed (Land of Smile) and have been a fan ever since. I tried it a couple of other places and didn't like it as much...so I am THRILLED to discover Thai 202 is so close to my home and has wonderful Kee Mao. I stopped in last week after my condo board's annual meeting at the Schlafly branch of the city library at Lindell & Laclede. Afterwards, I looked around for something to grab carryout and the first thing I saw was this small Thai place. I popped in, got quick and helpful counter service and my food was done faster than I've ever had carryout prepared at any other Thai or Chinese place. I had my Kee Mao minus the hot peppers and with pork, and it was exactly what I wanted. It was a huge serving...should have been big enough for 2 meals but I ate it all in one sitting. I guess I was hungry, and it was just so good! I'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

This is the first time I have been to this place...I will not return. Overall, the service was poor, the food was average and the prices were a bit higher than the decor represents.

At last! A decent thai place in the Central West End! S.O. and I were super excited when we stumbled onto this place while attempting to go to Green Bean (sorry Green Bean... next time!) Thai 202 just opened up 2 days ago in the space formerly belonging to Audi-K's. Menu is has all the standards you expect at a Thai restaurant from all the curries (green to panang), several Pads (see-ew, prik, thai, etc), fried rices, appetizers (including papaya salad) and soups. There are certain dishes S.O. and I measure Thai restaurants by: Pad Thai, Green curry, and Pad See Ew. This time around we ordered the Pad Thai and Green Curry. We also ordered a Thai Ice Tea. Everything was very flavorful, and these dishes already put this above all of the Thai places in the Delmar Loop. Green curry rivaled the one from Blue Elephant and had less oil (yay!) One thing Thai 202 could benefit (in accordance to my tastebuds, but perhaps not everyone's) is to dial a little back on the sweet. If they could use a little less sugar they would be 5 star in my opinion. Things coming in the future for Thai 202: Delivery and Bubble Tea! Owner? (I think he was the owner... nice elderly man at the cash register) said delivery could be upcoming in a week or so depending on the order size and location of delivery. Eventually will take credit cards, but as just opening, only takes cash at the moment. Bubble tea is also forthcoming (as evidence by the plasticized models in the window). Bottom line: Decent thai food in an area that has sorely needed it.

Was in STL for a wedding and went to my old stomping grounds in the Central West End. Found Thai 202 and was pretty happy with the food. Location is a bit small, but it's CWE. Food was fresh and pretty good. Overall, perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner. Good quality ingredients and solid flavor.

This place is FANTASTIC. Very fresh and a few healthy options to choose from as well. Staff is friendly and CWE neighborhood is great. Generous portions, fair pricing, check it out!

First of all, the place smells amazing! Order at the counter. Friendly staff, easy to read menu board. Self service drinks. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. We ordered our food and sat outside in the lovely spring sunshine. Our food was delivered to us quickly, hot and with a pretty presentation. Will definitely go back, probably several times!

I had dinner here with a friend recently. We ordered the penang curry with chicken and the healthy rice with tofu from the counter. We did not have to wait very long before our plates were brought out. Our dishes were very large and quite tasty, and I was pleased to see that the rice was served in a boat-like vessel. There was a serve-yourself fountain drink machine. Everything was reasonably priced. My only gripe was that the seating area was a bit drafty.

I really enjoy this place, very consistent Thai flavors throughout their menu. The drunken noodle and tom yum soup are fantastic - and the extremely laid back kitchen and work staff make this my go to place for Thai in the STL!

Best Thai in town. OK, it's not the nicest place, and there isn't much seating (inside or out), and it's not Bangkok quality, but Thai 202 finally brings solid Thai food to St Louis. Great soups and curries, in addition to a solid pad thai. On top of that, they're fast and well priced. I just wished they delivered and had more outside seating, and a website would be nice too!

Ok experience here. I live in the area so I frequent this place for $8 Pad Thai. When I moved here about a year ago the Pad Thai was fantastic. Recently, they've changed their noodles, and possibly something else in the dish, which has made the Chicken Pad Thai has only alright now (a little mushy, not as much flavor). Despite only ok food, the service is fast, the staff are very nice, and dishes are large for the price. Don't expect great food, but a decent little takeout spot. Even if my pad thai isn't great, I will keep going back.

This is solid Thai fare, nothing fancy. If you want an excellent meal with healthy portions-- without the frills and the fashion show-- then this place is for you.

Super lackluster food. No flavor at all. Pretty unfriendly service. Not worth the $12 and definitely not worth the food poisoning it gave me.

They are extremely fast and the ingredients are fresh. A bit overpriced but the portions are large. My favorite Thai dish is Pad-See-Yu. The first few times I got it here it was drenched in sauce and oil. I started asking to go light on the oil and sauce and now the dishes come out perfect.

Food is Awesome. I had a noodles dish and the lady had a salad and they were both excellent. Small restaurant and I did have a water accidently poured on me from the waiter but in spite of it all. I really like this place. Go Thai 202!!!

Enjoyed a casual lunch at Thai 202. Tried the Paanang curry which I really enjoyed. Nice spice!

New favorite: VEGGIE PAD THAI! Nutritious meal since they were generous on a variety of veggies. I didn't feel AS guilty when devouring until I found myself eating ALL of it in one sitting. Come hungry! Portions are quite large.

Love this place! Pad Thai basil is the best! However, you get more portions if you order in than carry out!

standard thai restaurant located in a convenient spot on maryland and euclid. they have some outdoor seating right on euclid. the food is ok. this place gives me a fast food-like vibe and seems to be more take out oriented. the service is very fast-good if you're in a hurry- and the portions are large. i love pad thai, but the one here is just ok. get the pad kee mao instead.

When it comes to Asian food Central West End has pretty limited options compared to the Loop. We usually end up going to West End Wok most of the time. So when someone told me about Thai 202 on Euclid I was ready to give it a shot. I must say I've not been disappointed both the times I've been here, I can't remember what I had the first time but I had the green curry chicken the second time. It was a cold afternoon and we got our orders within five minutes. The food tasted pretty good, its not the best Thai I've had but definitely the best in the neighborhood. So an Aye for Thai 202 and I'm glad that this place exists !

Saw a lot of positive reviews and wanted to try this place out for a quick dinner. Ordered Masman and Green curries. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The ingredients were fresh, especially the veggies. The green curry was really really sweet while being simultaneously extremely salty. For the first couple of bites it was ok, especially because it was very spicy (good!) but eventually I was overwhelmed with the amount of sugar in the dish. The masman was ok, nothing special. Good flavor but there was something about the consistency - almost goopy - that put me off. Overall the food was pretty mediocre. I'm sure that there is better on the menu but curries are pretty hard to mess up. I don't live in the neighborhood and I don't work at the medical center so would I go back? Probably not.

Very good!!! A little disorganized but they just opened. Staff was very friendly and they food came out super fast! I can't wait until they deliver, which I was told will be in a few weeks. This place makes a much better addition to the CWE than the hot dog place( the previous tenants ).

I wanted to like Thai 202 but food wasn't good. The pad see ew, which is usually a safe bet anywhere, tasted off. I hope these were just opening weekend jitters and I will eat there again when they hit their stride. Also, it was expensive--particularly for a place that seems focused on takeout.

I highly recommend the basil chicken! It was flavorful and the vegetables were fresh. However, the price isn't that great. I'm biased and am just used to being served large portions with meals that cost $8.75, so I probably wouldn't come here again because the veggies were sparse and there frankly wasn't much on the plate. The nicest thing about it is that it's in a convenient location and the meals arrive quickly. The service isn't bad, but they won't really tell you that something costs extra unless you ask. Beware of the iced tea. It's so saturated with sugar that it feels like drinking pure syrup!

Pretty good for lunch. Its a bit bland...I think/hope they are still working out some kinks.

Appears to be just another average Thai restaurant.

I was really excited when a Thai place opened in CWE, but I'm really not a fan of this place. The food is so subpar that it should be called Thai 101. The dishes are too salty and oily and I often get a stomachache after eating there. Their bubble tea is really fake too - you can taste the artificial powder they use. If you have the time to travel 5 miles further, I highly recommend one of the Thai restaurants on the loop. Much better than this place imo.

I visited this restaurant yesterday to place a to go, what an awful experience this was. I ordered veggie noodle; which to my dismay only had 3 veggies. I requested 2 other veggies be added and the cashier told me they didn't have either of them, when I could clearly see on the menu board they had...Finally, she understood my request and charged me extra for what I requested. When I got home, I realized the 2 added ingredients were not in my dish and it was more soup than anything. We also ordered orange chicken stir fry; it was orange slices, steamed rice and a few pieces of chicken with orange glaze. When I called the restaurant explaining my discontent; the owner said to me and I quote, "what do you want me to do, you were requesting things we could not handle." His comment regarding the orange chicken stir fry; "it's listed as stir fry, but it doesn't come that way".....My comment back to him was to change his attitude and perhaps he'll be in business a little longer...This place is an over rated, want to be more than the corner walk up "rice house". I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone...It was horrible and certainly not traditional Thai.

While the menu is hardly extensive, it covers a good range of what most people would get at a Thai restaurant, with good serving sizes and a low price to boot. The noodles and curries were tasty-- while not mind-blowing, it's not something I expect for the price range or locale. All in all, a good neighborhood place to grab a quick bite.
